Domestic users can check the status of a domestic insurance claim using the options below:

  • If you’ve filed the claim online, then simply login to your USPS account and then access the “Claims History” tab to see the progress in the claim status.
  • Or else, contact the Accounting Services Help Desk at 1-866-974-2733. Make sure to contact during the working hours only (Monday – Friday, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET (7:00 am to 7:00 pm CST).)
    At a minimum, you will need to provide the following information:

    • Your name
    • Article number
    • Original mail date

Contact the Customer Support Department by calling at the 1-800-222-1811. You need to give the following information.

  1. Name
  2. Tracking Number
